L'Inouï n° 2, IRCAM's Review

Ircam presents its journal dedicated to contemporary musical creation (éditions Léo Scheer). The topics covered touch on the hottest subjects of contemporary music presented during the Agora festival. These topics often reveal a vaster artistic vision that comes from the reflections found in the time spent for scientific research and artistic experimentation.

This issue of L'inouï contains:

The first in-depth introduction to Beat Furrer's aesthetic in French with texts by Daniel Ender and Martin Kaltenecker, including one on FAMA.

A profound look into the work of Philippe Leroux with an essay by the composer himself, an article that studies The Composition of a Movement of Voi(rex), from its Formal Idea to its Structure as well as a DVD-Rom that addresses the mysteries of his new piece, Apocalypsis.

A comprehensive dossier on the artistic, technological and scientific issues of instrumental gesture and interactivity.

Finally, a presentation of Musique Lab 2, a new IRCAM software program, designed for music lovers and music education.
